In an effort to assist Taiwan vector control industry and the manufacture of pesticides and environmental agents in accessing to mainland China and provide regulations, solutions of investment obstacles or consultation, our team attended 6 events of Taiwan Pest Control Association and Public Health Pesticides Association.
In addition, our team assisted Taiwanese vector control companies, which were willing to invest in mainland China, in registration, consultation of training for technical personnel certification and negotiation of current problems.
Participations and visits:
Our team was the host and also the keynote speaker of The 1st International Symposium for Infectious Diseases: Vector-Borne Disease in Shenzhen; our team visited 2 mainland China vector control and public health pesticides related organizations, which were Da An Gene Co.,Ltd. of Sun Yat-Sen University Guangzhou province and Guangdong Provincial Center for Diseas Control and Prevention; our team was the host and also the presentation presenter of The 33rd Academic Conference and Products Exhibition of Chinese Hygienic Insecticides and Equipments in Xiamen. The collection of 2016 mainland China vector control and public health pesticides related information, including 28 conference information, 42 training information and 74 event information was completed.
For the purpose of assisting Taiwanese manufacture in solving investment obstacles in mainland China and problems of registration and application of public health pesticides, our team held 2 visits of vector control industry and manufacture of pesticides and environmental agents in mainland China. The Beijing visit was from 2016, August 28th to September 1th, 12 companies of Taiwanese vector control industry and 3 companies of Taiwanese manufacture of pesticides and environmental
agents engaged in the visit. The Shanghai visit was from November 1th to November 5th, 4 companies of Taiwanese vector control industry and 3 companies of Taiwanese manufacture of pesticides and environmental agents engaged in the visit.
From October 26th to 27th, the information exchange symposium of cross-straits vector control and the public health pesticides was held at the College of Public Health National Taiwan University. There were 124 participants in the symposium and 30 participants attending the dinner. There were more than 40 participants in the first debriefing at National Kaohsiung University on 2016, June 28th. (20 participants were expected to attend each debriefing.) There were 26 participants in the second debriefing at National Chung Hsing University on 2016, October 4th.
The collection of mainland China vector control and public health pesticides related information was completed from 2012 to 2016.
